a sugar based syrup wont damage paint, just wash it off with hot water, acids and corrosives like mustards and brake fluid will cause some damage to clear coat and paint.Does syrup take the paint off your car?
no, but sap from a tree does if it sits there long enough. syrup is sugar based and will come off with soapy water.
