I'm planning to paint my car,i have no idea what kind of paint is appropriate one, what paint should i choose?

lancer glxi,i want it to be nice as it were brand new,shiny,simple,silver-gray but of course it will not cost me a lot...I'm planning to paint my car,i have no idea what kind of paint is appropriate one, what paint should i choose?
ummm if you dont know what kind of paint to use...i would call a body shop to get an estimate. If your conditions are not just right or there is dust anywhere around...hell even if you dont have the right kind of paint gun....your car will look like a pile of poo.

Want it to look good....call a professional and pay the price...

you get what you pay for...I'm planning to paint my car,i have no idea what kind of paint is appropriate one, what paint should i choose?
Just stay away from MAACO or Earl Sheib.
Get the paint code for the car. Take it to an automotive paint store and they can mix a duplicate color for you. As the other guys have said, there's more to this than meets the eye. See what a pro will paint it for.

Here is a website that sells car paints, select ur yr, model, make and color, then they will give u ur color code. Which that code, u can order from them or retail stores like Autozone.
have you considered using metal flake paint.also back in the early 70s,they came out with a sharp color on a dodge challenger,it was a plum purple.
