I want to remove the chrome letters from my car. How do I do that without scratching the paint?

This is the proper way to dabadge. Take a hair dryer and heat up the badge for a while. Then take some dental floss and slowly work it under the badge and slowly slide in underneath the entire badge. You may want to continue to use the hair dryer while you do this. When it comes off it will most likely leave old adhesive, which can be removed by using some bug and tar remover or goof off type stuff. Polish and wax when its clean. There are no holes underneath.I want to remove the chrome letters from my car. How do I do that without scratching the paint?

If they are bolted on, there will be a nut on the back side of the panel. Of course there will be holes in the metal when you are done. If they are glued on, take a heat gun or a hair dryer and heat the letters till the glue starts to let loose, then simply clean up the glue residue with solvent.
take it to either a paint or body shop just be careful

why you put them on
do not do this the holes will rust and the trunk or hood will rust away
There are solvants that you can get at places like autozone or advanced auto. Any sales person could give you the brand name. The chrome letters may become unusable after that, but as far as the paint goes it wont get scratched.
get a fishing line and move it up and down like you flossing your teeth and shimmy your way till you get the double sided tape all cut up.
it they are attached with glue, try spraying some wd 40 on them. test a spot under hood to make sure it won t discolor paint, first!
slowly soak with wd 40 then gently apply a continous pressure with a plastic piece like a spoon. They will slowly come off. Don't force anything, a little bit of warmth will help
used alcohol or polish, i don't thing D40 be good for paint.

u can by alcohol frame pharmacy and polish from car shop
Take the vehicle to an approved body/ paint shop and pay for the removal of the letters. You will save yourself a lot of heartache and trouble.
