CAR PAINT HElP!?

i have a 87' Chevy Camaro, its my love.... i need it repainted though, can i get a ROUGH estimate on how much it would be to get it painted, and maybe get some dents out

i wanted to go to maaco..they sound cheap enoughCAR PAINT HElP!?
If it is your love you need to get another job or something so you can do better than Maaco. You need to visit several body shops and look at some of the work they do. Maaco churns out paint jobs pretty fast and it's ok but not for your love.CAR PAINT HElP!?
If you love your car as much as you say you do stay away from maaco. When it comes to paint you get what you pay for. if you get a $200 paint job from maaco expect it to last like one. The paint flakes off in like a year on the cheap maaco jobs. They dont do much prepping. Id say average cost for a good quality paint job... (at least where Im at) its around 2,000. That would be proper prep work for a long lasting paint, a good quality paint, and like 3 coats of clear. The better paint you want the more you pay. My buddy put 10,000 into his paint and prepwork. Nothing fancy either just a metallic red with ghost flames. but he had each body panel dipped and stripped down to bare metal then restarted so itll be like a factory quality paint job.

Hope this helps.
An 87 Camaro -

small and few dents, maybe a touch of rust?

1500 - 2000 for a complete new nice paint job.

Want it to be a show car paint job - 2500.00 +

I've painted cars for over 15 years both bump and dent and custom 7000.00+ paint jobs.

Stay away from Macco they are not for the Maro!!!!!

Find a nice clean shop and ask to see some of thier work before you let them tear it down.
you should paint that red with black rcing striped down the middloe. it would look realy nice. get the interior like a bache(idk how to spell it) and black leather and that would be really cool. try that if you like the sound of it.
A good paint job will be as good as the body work and prep is. A MAACO job will look good if you take the time to properly fix all body work and dents.
