this is the paint i use for plastic on any car that i am rebuilding or restoring for a customer or myself. its the industrial choice rust-oleum paint for plastics. this is a no primer needed paint which you could spray directly on the plastic considering the plastic is clean and free from any oils or armor all etc. thin light coats until the plastic is covered allowing some dry time between coats and your interior will look like it was just replaced. this stuff works awesome and when its dry there is no odor and it dries hard. check it out this stuff is the cats a**.I want to paint the plastic parts for the interior of my car, what type of paint would work best?
i own a repair shop, and you can go to any parts store and get the brand of vinyl paint called sems, its the best on the market, and it will stay with it for along time, but don't settle for anything less than sems ,all you have to do is clean the surface really good before you paint it no sanding or nothing on it,good luck hope this helps.
The first step is to make sure the panels are clean. Any traces of armour-all from years past is going to haunt you. The best thing to do is use 3M adhesion promoter. If you follow the directions the paint will stick forever. Duplicolor also makes a cheaper ';fusion'; paint in the basic colors if you're on a budget. however...as always...you get what you pay for
they make paint especially for interiors at you local parts store the most important part is the prep work get the right paint and clean the interior according to the instructions but remember your painting plastic so it does expand and contract according to the temperature so following the direction will give you the best result
