Would i be breaking the law if in a road rage incident if i used a paint ball gun and shot the car?

pepole in the uk please ( any other country will be funny to hear from too)Would i be breaking the law if in a road rage incident if i used a paint ball gun and shot the car?
When I lived in Minnesota, I was shot by a random passerby with a paintball gun when I was walking out to get my mail. I tracked down the guys and filed complaints and they faced felonies there. I never heard what happened to them, and frankly I dont care if they went to prison. The chance of a pedestrian losing eyesite because of their assinine behavior is infuriating...and mind you, i was shot at 18 ft.

When a paintball hits your chin and you are just getting the mail...you get MAD. I can guarantee you, if it was while I was driving....lookout!Would i be breaking the law if in a road rage incident if i used a paint ball gun and shot the car?
Under Federal Code in the United States that would be considered a ';terroristic threat.'; Plus in my jurisdiction: criminal mischief, simple assault with a weapon, vandalism, and harassment.

Not to mention that if I was to see that happening, you would be stopped via Felony Stop and if you raised or pointed the weapon towards an officer or the public in the presence of an officer, you might be shot by the officer.
please put your keys down. walk away from your vehicle. and never drive again.

Shooting paintballs at a moving vehicle in the USA would be considered attempted murder. Your weapon won't kill the driver, but you could frighten him into losing control of the car, or paint his windshield, blinding him, and cause an accident that could kill him.

You would then be charged with a homicide, not just some pansy vandalism charge.
at the very least it sounds like vandalism, and depending on how the paintball gun looks, somebody in a road rage incident might thinks its real (or claim to think so) and result in a dangerous situation. (I'm in the US btw)
Criminal Mischief in Indiana
I'm not sure why answers from those in other countries would be funny. If you live anywhere and get involved in a road rage incident and shoot a paintball at the other party then the police may be your last worry. The other party may be faster, more angry and armed with something far worse, such as a ball bat (to say the least) that could cause you personal harm. It happens, even in the UK. Besides, what a waste of good paint. Go shoot your house, someone on your block may appreciate the upgrade.
yes it is against the law. you would be liable for any damages the other car or person
just drive with you re face hidden

and don' t get caught
Unfortunately, yes. They could get you for vandalism, possibly assault, and probably some other things as well.
