Red Exterior Car Color: Do the modern factory paint jobs still fade like the past? Our earlier red color wasn't as vibrant after a few years.

all paints are better now than they were but the red still fades quicker the other colors but it lasts a lot longer with all the load colors today i dint think red shouts any moreRed Exterior Car Color: Do the modern paint jobs still fade like the past? Do they yell ';give me ticket?';?
The new paints hold well over a long time now compared what they used to do, the clear coat they now have and the base coat have improved 100 percent. loud colors will draw attention no dout, red, yellow, flame orange all attract attention. you can go to any insurance company and get the ticket rating for the different colors of cars. And Right now Red paint pigment is at a all time high so if you have an accident it will be more expensive to fix.
I saw figures a while back that red cars do not get more tickets, but I'm sure it depends on the type of car as well, let's face it some just look like trouble to a cop. I think they do hold there color better, we had a red metallic van for 5 years and it looked great when we sold it ! It wasn't a fire engine red a little deeper than that.
