New car was scraped, need help with paint?

I have a new car and in trying to get it into the garage scraped it on the side above the wheel. It made this big white streak in a semicircle over the wheel. I noticed that if I scraped it with my nail it came off. So got some hot water and a washcloth and little by little got most of it off. Now there is one area where it looks like the paint of the car might actually be off but I don't want to scrape it too hard to find out in case that ruins the finish. Is there something I can use to figure this out, that would remove the white paint if it were removable, but not harm it if it wasn't?New car was scraped, need help with paint?
The paint on a new car has clear coat on it and it will scratch and turn white if the color of the paint is the same as what was on what you hit then it can be taken off with a light rubbing compound that you can buy from an automotive store. if it cut dep enought to remove the paint you can go to the dealer and get a tube of touch up paint and fix it with that but he best thing to do is take it to a detailing shop and have them buff it. it's cheeper than a paint job and you will know for sure.
