How much does it typically cost to have your car painted at maaco?

ive seen maaco paint jobs and after bout 6 months it looks worse than what ya started with-id definatly spend the extra $$ and go to a respectable body shop or paint guy who has the right tools and does a good jobHow much does it typically cost to have your car painted at maaco?
Depends on where you are, quality, grade, ';special trim';, and season. They advertise cheapest during ';slow season'; (in Texas that is Jan and Feb.)

Generally you can get a ';cheapie'; for around $300+- a little. But the better paint jobs cost from around $500. Note that the same paint is used on the cheapie, -it is the preperation that they economize on. This is what used car lots get,- to sell cars that have poor looking paint. What they do is mask off all the trim and chrome, instead of removing it (so there is a ';flaw line'; for scaling and peeling along all these parts). -- This is fine for a car that you may only want to keep for 2-3 years, but if you want it longer, get the better paint job!How much does it typically cost to have your car painted at maaco?
Take an old man's advice: Go to an independent body shop. Nevernevernevernever go to an affiliate shop like Maaco. Find a local shop with a good rep. You know, something like Old Joe's Paint and Body Works. Talk to friends and find the best shooter (paint man). They make their money on reputation, not glitzy expensive ads on TV.
I got my Legacy done up with 2 year paint for under a grand. If you're not changing the color they say they will do it for as low as 250.00 Not always the best quality finish. You can find local shops that will do it for less and with better results.
