I recently got a car in from florida that is literally at least showroom nice, its honestly the best looking cleanest black car I have ever seen, but on shipping over here it got dirty, I washed it very carefully and put on a coat of top of the line meguires car wax in the metal can, i used their applicator pad and made sure everything was clean and I still got swirl marks, how do I get rid of these marks and what could have caused them, and dont even think of telling me i put the wax on wrong, its not hard and I know I didn't screw that part up, what do I use to get rid of these marks and once I do how can i rewax without putting them back on the car, do I use liquid wax, or use a towel instead of their sponge or what, everyone seems to have swirl marks and imperfections on their car, i want to be the exception who's in the best out there, thanksCar paint help?
A black car is the worst to keep on top of, but the best when it has been. Swirls are usually put on by bad washing practice. Use two buckets when washing, one for shampoo and one for rinsing out mitt in between applications of shampoo. Gritguards in the buckets also help. Use a lambswool mitt instead of a sponge and microfiber cloths instead of towels. The only way to get rid of the swirls now you've got them is to polish them out. Here is a good site that should help.

meguires should have a product that you apply after polishing that removes swirl marks.
in Australia we have a product called crystal clear that removes swirl marks you can pick it up at any good car shop.
good luck
