How much is it to spray paint the body of my car? London (UK)?

i have a corsa and i hate the colour, i want to turn it BRIGHT METALLIC RED, .... how much would it cost me to take to a garage?

and what paper work needs to be done? How much is it to spray paint the body of my car? London (UK)?
its going to cost around 1k and above for a full body paint, just make sure you let DVLA know and update your log book and all the insurance etc..

i think you should go for it if its an investment other than that i would advise you not to because it is pretty expensive...

you can get quotes from your local garages and do a deal..maybe you can ask around and see if any one knows a friend of a friend that can sort you out with a discount?

my brothers friend works in a garage and he done it for my brother for free...but my brother bought the paint but the manual job was done for free as long as he advertised his car by sayin that his company did it lol...thats what friends are for...so try n get lucky some how ;-]How much is it to spray paint the body of my car? I own my own bodyshop business (east midlands uk). Its difficult to give a precise figure without seeing the vehicle but you would be looking at a minimum of 拢1500 for a quality respray. Obviously if there are any dents/scratches etc then it could be quite a bit more.

If you are thinking of a colour change then you really need to have the inside of the doors / under the bonnet / in the boot done as it will look odd if its a different colour.

For a colour change inside the vehicle it really needs the engine removing, doors and boot stripping etc and this would take the cost well over 拢2500.

No paperwork is necessary to have the paintwork done but you will need to notify DVLC if you change the colour of the vehicle.

To be honest, your cheapest option would be to sell the car and buy another in a colour you like.
The simplest way is to SELL that car and buy one in the right colour!

If you really want THAT one painted, it is much like saying ';how much to lay a new floor in my lounge?'; - Are you talking the cheapest laminate, at 4pounds a square-metre, or premium wood, with a 30year guarantee, at 40pounds a metre?

A cheap blow-over, by a cowboy cutting the costs will be about 4 or 500 pounds. A comprehensive, glass-out, engine-out, body-imperfections corrected, door-apertures sprayed, VERY professional job will run you about 2,500 upwards to 4,000 - quality, special-finish paint really costs, and so does a lot of professional labour.

On a ratty little Corset, which I would not be found dead in, I just wouldn't bother. Maybe put a bag over your head?
In London certainly 拢1500 for a good job. The only paperwork involved would be you emailing or writing to the DVLA advising them of the colour change.
depends on the garage but for the whole car looking at nearly 拢1500-拢2000

the garage should sort the paper work out but all you need is the ownership docs.

edit-if you like you car do it, I have a corsa 2008 I love it the best car I have ever had. if the car is still in good condition, the paint work will come out better.
