A bar made mostly from clay. You can get it at most auto shops.
CLAY BAR IS THE PRODUCT THEY USE AUTO DETAILERS,IT CLEANS THE PAINT OF THE ROUGH FEELING IT GETS FROM GRIME AND CONTAMINENTS,THE SURFACE ALMOST FEELS GRITTY,WHEN YOU USE CLAY BAR YOU USE IT WITH WATER AND JUST LIGHTLY RUB OVER SURFACE OF PAINT NOT TO HARD THOUGH,USE LOTS OF WATER.
I've never heard of clay that removes paint from a car. There are polymer clay bars used with a spray lubricant that only remove fine particles that are embedded into a cars finish and also bird droppings. It's used as a prep before using a sealant and wax. Leaves a paint surface more smooth. Some people claim that ';Clay baring'; has some abrasive ways about it that's why you should always use a spray lubricant. Are you speaking of a paint mark? A clay bar may work. I've used a polishing compound for clearcoats, But you have to use it VERY carefully. It has abrasives that may marr the finish.
I've heard them called ';Sand Bar'; as well. I've never found one at the store before. Don't know where they are sold.
