Car paint job?

could i get a good paint job for $500?...and if so where?Car paint job?
A lot of the cost of a paint job is in the labor to sand the vehicle and fix any damage that will show through the paint. As was said, if you don't need any prep work, or can do the sanding yourself, you might save some money. Some places won't give you a warranty if they don't do the prep work, since they didn't control the process from start to finish.

Even some of the ';cheap'; places like Earl Scheib and Maaco end up costing more than they advertise. I looked at their $399 special, and it was going to end up costing about $200 more afetr all the prep work and fees were added in. That said, the vehicles I saw outside that were painted looked good, and if you don't need a super deluxe job, those might work for you.Car paint job?
Only if you use house paint and a brush
Sure if you don't need prep work.
Any decent paint job will run you from $2000-$5000 dollars depending on the amount of prep work that needs to be done before it gets painted.

You could get somebody to spray your car for $500 bucks but it will look like crap and start flaking off in a year.

I work in the auto business, trust me when I say you do not want a $500 paint job it will hurt the resale value of your car. My advice is to save up and get it done right.
I don't know if there's a francise near you , but MAACO , will do it for about that much. But I intend to get mine painted at the local vocational/ technical school by students for the price of the materials .
